Term 3 Jan-Mar 2009 music reflection

January 2009-

Date: 13. Jan.2009
Today as the first day of music class we started of with us choosing what instrumental class we were going to join. But apparently i didn't get to choose and was basically forced to join the Violin class.
But sadly i cant play the violin to, so i had to start from the beginning.

Today as our first theory class on a Friday we started of with what we had basically discussed on our previous meeting

Today as our second meeting the class was not that hard, this was probably because of the beginers in class. But to me there are still difficulties in understanding what the teachers were teaching us!

At points today was not actually very special, this was because that what we were studying at this day was just a revision of the materials we learned last week.

Today is basically the last day before our first part of the term 3 tasks, and basically today we will have to practice very hard to achive a good score for this part.
February 2009 -

Date: 3.Feb.2009
At this day me and my task group had to do the 1st part of the term3 tasks, this was to present with my group about the Asian country music which was for us Korea. At points this was difficult since some of the names were unclear and unpronounceable by me.

If i am not mistaken at this day our class began learning about the tones, for most of my classmates this was easy but for me i have many difficulties in understanding. So basically meaning to say it is not easy for me.

On this the class was not as diffrent as the others, but if i am not mistaken on this day we had a little "question-answer" time, this was when we were asked about the Asian music that we had previously studied.

On this day we continude on our lesson about notes, but there were mentions about the Asian music, to me still at this point the note are hard to understand.This is probably becuase of the fact that i have never had music class before this.

On this day the subject we studied were basically reviews of the ones we did last week. But eventhough it seems easy i still have difficulties doing it.

At this rate we were still studying about the same thing, but at this point it is harder, and as it gets harder i understand less.

Date: 24. Feb. 2009
Today what we basically did was do the written test and submitted our personal booklet about the Asian music we presented a couple of weeks ago.

Today what we basically did was learn about the diatonic and pentatonic scales. At points this was very hard for me since i have experience what so ever about any type of scales.

March 2009-

Date: 3.Mar.2009
Today was basically the last day for music theory class for term 3. At this point for the last day there wasn't much of a difference from other music theory classes, but today there was the 1 page reflection that we had to make in order to finish the term.

Today what we basically did was continue our discussion from our previous meeting. After so if i am not mistaken we checked our homework which was given on the previous week.
